Noctune
Adaptive sleep engine that uses binaural beats, guided breathing, and real-time movement detection to help you fall asle

Noctune is a closed-loop sleep aid that adapts in real-time to help you fall asleep. It detects your movement through your phone's accelerometer and automatically adjusts binaural beat frequencies, breathing pace, and soundscape volume based on your sleep state. The adaptive engine tracks five phases — Awake, Relaxing, Drowsy, Light Sleep, and Deep Sleep — and makes continuous adjustments every 500ms. When restlessness is detected (like restless legs), the engine boosts masking sounds and shifts binaural frequencies to re-engage your focus. As you settle, it sweeps frequencies toward deep delta, decelerates your breathing guide by up to 50%, and fades volume to silence. Features include three binaural beat presets (delta, theta, low theta), three soundscapes (rain, ocean, wind), three breathing patterns (4-7-8, box, military), auto-fade, a live movement waveform, real-time engine parameter display, and an adaptation log showing every decision the engine makes. Built with React and the Web Audio API. No accounts, no tracking, no ads. Runs entirely in your browser.
